Silkscreen printed glass

Silk-printed glass on the Finnish National Board of Education building in Hakaniemenranta, Helsinki

With the silkscreen print method the glass surface is printed with expressive patterns. Silk-printed glasses are used on facades, decorative elements and they can be attached to an insulating glass
element.

All silk-printed glasses are always tampered security glass. Silk-print does not wear the surface of the glass and the silk-print efficiently tolerates cleaning and the wear of the sun’s UV radiation. Silk-print is a cost effective way to build a large series of glass with the same print pattern.

Properties of silkscreen printed glass:

  • Silk-printed glass can be made using the RAL colour chart’s various colours and shades.
  • The ceramic color endures UV light and won’t come off the surface by scratching. Silkprinted glass doesn’t require protective coating over the paint.
  • Silk-printed glasses can be laminated.
  • Silk-printed glasses can be assembled as insulative elements.
  • Tempered safety glass.
  • Maximum dimensions 1980×2950 millimeters.
  • HeatSoak treatment is recommended on facade solutions.
